DARK TRANQUILLITY: Mexico, South America Tour Dates Announced

Swedish melodic death metallers DARK TRANQUILLITY will embark on a tour of Mexico and South America in June.

Commented the band: "The rumours are true: We're indeed coming back to Latin America to play for some of the craziest metalheads that the globe has to offer.

"Mexico and Colombia is familiar ground, and we're looking forward to playing in Chile and Argentina for the first time ever."

The dates are as follows:

June 13 - Mexico City, Mexico - Circo Volador
June 14 - Monterrey, Mexico - Caf Iguana
June 15 - Guadalajara, Mexico - Teatro Estudio Cavaret
June 18 - Bogota, Colombia - Downtown 727
June 19 - Santiago, Chile - Teatro Novedades
June 20 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Teatro Flores

DARK TRANQUILLITY are excited to be making their much anticipated return to North America in May with what could well be hailed as one of the best guitar-shredder packages of the year. This tour, presented by ESP Guitars, Randall Amps, Guitar World and Revolver magazine, dubbed "Tyranny and Bloodshred 2008", kicks off on May 9 and features headliners ARCH ENEMY and the awesome, yet diverse talents of DIVINE HERESY and FIREWIND.

Upon completing this tour the band will continue on headlining a slew of additional dates with DIVINE HERESY and FIREWIND supporting. This tour completes their worldwide touring cycle for "Fiction", an album that revitalized the genre they helped create and further cemented their status as one of the genre's most influential bands.

Niklas Sundin (guitars) states: "We're very pleased to let our growing hordes of U.S. fans know that we'll once again return to your shores to serve you in metal.
